The frequency of aged care domestic assistance and cleaning support services will depend on your funding level. The same types of domestic assistance are available to each funding level; however, the amount of funding is different. This means that the hours of support will vary between each level.
You can start looking for domestic assistance once you have been assigned your Home Care Package funding level and signed a service agreement with a Service Provider.
In order to access domestic assistance through a Home Care Package, you will need to complete an aged care assessment that establishes your needs. If assessed as eligible for a Home Care Package, you can work with your aged care provider to establish what services will best meet your needs.
Aged care domestic assistance includes household tasks and daily upkeep, such as cleaning services for seniors. Personal care focuses on individual physical needs like bathing, dressing, and getting around.
^HomeMade Fully Coordinated is a self-managed service model. It does not include out-of-hours support, and some service exclusions apply, such as equipment trials. As with all HomeMade models, customer suitability will be assessed before commencement.
