What to include in a job post
- A bit about yourself: If you can, include details such as age, gender, and personality.
- Date and time of the job: The more specific you are about when you need support, the clearer the job post will be.
- Job location: Include where the support will take place, and if you will need to be picked up and taken somewhere for support.
- Whether the job is ongoing or a one-off: It is helpful for support workers to understand from your job post whether you need them for a one-off support session or for long-term support.
- Your goals: This will help the support worker understand the qualifications and skills they might need.
- Specific skills, interests, or qualifications: Specify what is important to you, such as languages spoken or a shared interest.
- Car and driver’s licence: Be sure to mention whether you need a support worker to drive you to where you need to go.
- Must-haves or nice-to-haves: Specifying these in your job post makes sure the support worker knows what’s non-negotiable for you in terms of your support needs.
